What does rawhide-free really mean?

Rawhide-free simply means a product does not use the inner layer of animal hide traditionally processed into rawhide. It does not automatically tell you whether a chew is right for every dog.
Look beyond the headline. Check the complete ingredient list, country of origin, product size and feeding directions. Choose transparent brands and supervise chewing.
