Terms & Conditions

Clear rules for using Dr Chewee, creating an account and purchasing dog chews and treats. These Terms work alongside—not in place of—your rights under Australian law.

Last updated: 11 August 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to drchewee.com, our customer portal and related services (together, the Site), and purchases made from Dr Chewee (Dr Chewee, we, us or our).

By using the Site, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian, to place an order.

2. Product information and dog safety

We aim to describe products, ingredients, pack sizes, images, suitability and prices accurately. Colours, sizing and appearance may vary slightly from the images shown. Product information is general information and is not veterinary, nutritional or medical advice.

Dogs differ in size, age, health, chewing strength and dietary needs. Choose an appropriately sized product, follow the product label and feeding guide, provide fresh water, and supervise every chewing session. Remove a chew if it becomes damaged or small enough to swallow. Ask your veterinarian before offering a product if your dog has allergies, dental problems, dietary restrictions or other health concerns.

3. Accounts and security

You may check out as a guest or create a customer account. Account creation may require email credentials, Google sign-in and Firebase phone verification. You are responsible for providing accurate details, protecting your credentials and telling us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.

Your customer portal may display orders, delivery details, favourites and account information associated with your verified identity. Do not access or attempt to access another person's account.

4. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy the selected products. An automated acknowledgement or payment authorisation does not by itself require us to accept an order. We accept an order when we confirm it for fulfilment. We may reject or cancel an order before fulfilment where a product is unavailable, information is incorrect, fraud is suspected, a pricing error is obvious, or we cannot lawfully supply the order.

If we cancel a paid order, we will arrange a refund to the original payment method. Product availability and purchase limits may apply. We may reasonably limit quantities intended for resale.

5. Prices, payments and promotions

Unless stated otherwise, prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Delivery charges, discounts and the final payable total are shown at checkout before payment.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Dr Chewee does not receive or store your full card number. Stripe and your payment provider may apply their own terms, authentication and fraud-prevention checks. You authorise us and Stripe to charge the confirmed order total when you submit payment.

Discount codes and promotions are subject to their stated conditions, availability and expiry dates. They cannot be exchanged for cash and generally cannot be combined unless we say otherwise.

6. Delivery

We deliver to the destinations offered at checkout. Delivery estimates are not guarantees and may be affected by carriers, weather, public holidays, address errors and events outside our reasonable control. Please provide a complete, secure delivery address and check it before paying.

Risk in physical products passes to you when the order is delivered to the address or authorised collection point you nominated. Nothing in this clause limits any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

7. Returns, refunds and consumer guarantees

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a replacement, refund or other remedy if a product is faulty, unsafe, materially different from its description or otherwise fails a consumer guarantee.

Contact info@drchewee.com with your order reference, a description of the issue and, where helpful, photographs. Any voluntary change-of-mind policy we publish operates in addition to, and does not replace, your statutory rights. We may decline a change-of-mind return for opened food or treat products where hygiene or safety makes resale inappropriate.

8. Intellectual property

The Site's original text, artwork, graphics, layouts, photographs, video, audio, software, logos, product presentation and other content are owned by Dr Chewee or used under licence. All rights are reserved.

You may view and make a temporary copy of Site content for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes. Unless the law permits it or we give written permission, you must not reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, sell, commercially exploit, scrape, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Site or its content.

9. Trademarks

Dr Chewee names, logos, mascots, taglines and get-up are trademarks or brand assets of Dr Chewee or their respective owners. Other product and company names belong to their respective owners. Use of a third-party mark does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

10. Reviews and user content

If you submit a review, message, photograph or other content, you confirm that it is honest, lawful, relevant, your own work or content you are authorised to use, and does not infringe another person's rights. Do not include sensitive personal information.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display that content for operating and promoting Dr Chewee. We may moderate or remove content that is misleading, offensive, unlawful, unsafe, spam, unrelated or otherwise breaches these Terms. We do not promise to publish every submission.

11. Third-party services and links

The Site uses or may link to third-party services, including Firebase, Google and Stripe. Links are provided for convenience. Unless we expressly say otherwise, we do not control or endorse third-party sites, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

12. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Site; introduce malware; interfere with security or operation; attempt unauthorised access; impersonate another person; use automated tools in a way that burdens the Site; submit fraudulent orders; or use the Site for unlawful, abusive or deceptive activity. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, the business or the Site.

13. Site availability and disclaimers

We use reasonable care in operating the Site, but do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. We may maintain, update, suspend or withdraw parts of the Site.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and general content are provided on an “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Liability

Where the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss caused by your misuse of a product, failure to follow safety guidance, inaccurate information you supplied, or events outside our reasonable control.

Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by law. It does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restrict your non-excludable rights and remedies.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you browse, create an account, contact us or place an order.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable law. The updated version applies from the “Last updated” date shown above. Terms that applied when an order was placed continue to govern that order unless the law requires otherwise.

17. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Courts with jurisdiction in Queensland may hear disputes, subject to any rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere under applicable law.

For questions, complaints or notices, contact Dr Chewee at info@drchewee.com, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
